Fading

This time we added a fading process to our design, so that in contrast to motion. Then we tested lights, although the material is not that the optical fiber, but basically the same design.

this time we used the ugly state:
if the person did not do sports for a long time,
the flower will drop head.
also the lights will darken.


there is a line connect to the flower. if we pull this line only, the flower's head will drop.

Model Design

"Infection"


We try to design a harmonious environment for people, the behavior of the surrounding residents affected by this environment to develop a good behavior.




We are inspired from dandelion.

We use optical fiber as the main material.

Model structure

When people exercise, the Infection will start to spin and emit light. When people exercise regularly, the Infection likely to rise a symbol of growth, when people do not do long-term exercise, the Infection will decline fade.

                                

Embedded Interaction

Most people have a group psychology. When people around you and all doing a same thing but you not, you will feel pressure, and the pressure can effect you, such as studying, fashion, marriage, quit smoking and many kinds of decision. Here we choose people who are over weight and usually do some exercise as example. 

We named our design "Infection".

When some people doing exercises at home, their energy will be transferred to the Infection. The Infection will outspread and make a beautiful lights. This means their owners are energetic and fond of exercises. The other neighbors who also have interest in exercises will like to join in this work.

The Infection will stay beautiful for a couple of days, so it encourage people insisting on doing exercise.

Step on balloon
There are some balloons on the first stair, people usually want to step on it. When people step on the balloon of the first floor, another balloon will emerge on the next few stairs. All the balloons not emerge on one straight line, so it will let people stride larger step. This makes people consume more energy.

Catching up
When people climbing up stairs, there is a shadow in front of him. The shadow can be an animal, footprints or the record holder. Every time when people want to catch up the shadow, the shadow move further, the people catch up the shadow, the record will change.
